Doppelganger

Doppelganger is a German word at its origin. It was actually coined at the end of the 18th century by an author named Jean Paul. He wrote about it in that novel, but as Olivia is keen to point out, he sort of mixes up the words when he was actually talking about a look-alike human. But doppelganger became the eventual word that we use for a non-related look-alikes.
