In the Blue Zones book, researchers looked at how people lived outside. They found that they got good exercise but it wasn't like lifting weights for an hour. This was sustained over the course of hours and having a good laugh with friends. And so all of these things that we notice that there's health benefits to, we're starting to find the connection to explain why people are healthier when doing these things in their gut bacteria.
