Commodus and the Danube Campaign

Commodus made it clear from the very beginning that his reign was not going to be like of his father's, shipping the corpse of marcus to rome for burial and deification. Despite the pleas of adius pompeiionus and the other leaders who had poured their blood and sweat into the german campaigns, commidus announced his intention to wrap things up and head home. Commodus stayed and camped along the danube to finish what his father had started.
