Pliny's letter is in a different part of the empire. So we don't know exactly what's going on, but some kind of local persecution. Perpetua is actually a catecumin and she has not been baptized. And then we have a really interesting kind of exchanges with her pagan father who wants her to announce the faith. They're telling me, oh, those Christians. It's just so remarkable too.
