The S&P has seen two 50% declines in the last 16, 17 years. It's easy to imagine another 50% decline at some point in time in the future. Warren Buffett is fond of saying that if you're in the market and you can't tolerate a 50% decline, you shouldn't be in the market. We know we're due for a correction. The issue is that those comes from a place you're not expecting.
