Test Flight for Imperial Airways
This particular flight was a test flight for imperial airways. However, there were five passengers on board. The aircraft crashed into a market garden near lee cottage in croydon. An inquest was opened at brandon hill near croyden and adjourned. And then the inquest was resumed on july thirtieth, 19 28. It was explained to the inquest by an employee of imperial airways that it was not unusual for passengers to be taken on test flights,. So the coroner questioned the wisdom of allowing passengers on what could be a dangerous test fly, ha ha. And was told all the passengers had signed in nity documents, sank their ok if they die, right?
