There's definitely this sentiment among pockets of the population that Russia is a better alternative to pretty much all other prominent partners on the continent. Depending on how the security situation in the East evolves, the demands for improved security could increase. Kinshasa's own assessment of where its fortunes lie may see circumstances develop that increase the likelihood of Russian private security mercenaries coming into the region. It certainly seems like a lot of the elements are there for that kind of choice to be made.
