Chimpanzee Koriza Agent
Researchers Morris Blount and Savage published the account of this first observed episodic of the chimpanzee koriza agent in 1956. In their very last sentence, they did suggest that this agent may be a lot more widespread than just in chimpanzees at the Walter Reed Institute. The link between this virus and the observed illness was confirmed when a few other chimpanzees got sick after being intentionally infected with the virus. They all produced antibodies against the pathogen.
