In Mac OS ANOMA, there's a thing for placing widgets on the desktop. What I want from window management is essentially kind of like what you get in graphics apps when you turn on grids and guides. You want snapable grids and guides with configurable margins between everything. The default snapping behavior in Mac OS annoys me that it doesn't let you put one window on the other.
