That's powerful, man. And I didn't realize that there were all these different connotations of base, like your definition is much different than maybe the political definition of it. And I remember I first heard the word maybe a couple years ago from like, maybe my nerdier gamer friends like they'd be like, that's based. And I just was like, that's so cringe. Like, what does that word mean? But I think you've reframed what that actually means. And I think you will have a pretty big say in how that word gets conveyed if you keep your brand is that because now I've started to associate it with like, oh, that's like some, so it's tear it shit. That's some health shit. That's like some living in alignment shit. And I think that's like really what you're going for with a brand. But yeah, when did you first come across this word and like, why did you name your Twitter account that out of anything?
Speaker 1
Well, I came across it when I was just sort of doom scrolling on Twitter one day. And I think I saw it on some esoteric health accounts. And it just got me thinking it was an intriguing word. I'm like, what the fuck is this? Why is everyone saying base? But it was always something it was always the times I saw based commented. It was under something I totally agreed with. And I was like, okay, I kind of get, I get it like, based is more if I could put based into a box. It's moving, it's moving in the direction of truth approaching truth. It's going to be different for everyone. But when

I saw it online, I was

like, that's definitely something I believe in, or that's something that I think should be more prominent in the. In society or whatever. And so I was like, in the sauna. I had just seen soul bras account. I think probably, and I was like, I could fucking do this. Like, why, why don't I, and I was like, base bras a great name actually pretty catchy. Looked up the username that wasn't taken. And. I was inspired by a few accounts

online.
Speaker 1
I think a lot of accounts online can be misleading and can be a bit performative and sort of inauthentic. And I'm from a marketing background real estate background entrepreneurship background. Those are my three things coming out of college. And I see the market getting super saturated with all of its messaging. It's like, yeah, okay. Everyone saying, get in the ice bath at nauseam. Everyone saying, look at sunlight in the morning. Everyone saying these things. That it's just shifting into more of that creator economy where people care about you as the person. And it's. My goal goal with it is like, how can I be of service? How can I put value into the world? I've lived a unique life. And I've learned a lot of things through my athletic career college career starting through companies. You know, I'm young. I'm 26, but I believe I have a perspective that could be helpful to people and also. You know, you could go to some fucking monastery in India for. Three years and get taught. But you could also have someone tell you something. In a certain way that clicks for you and your particular interface. That makes you make three years of progress in one month. All of a sudden. And I think that's where the value lies and having people voice their opinion is like, well, the way that David Goggins says something resonates with a lot of people, but it also doesn't resonate with a ton of other people. And so those people still are looking for a perspective that clicks with them. And if you put your voice out there, your unique perspective can click with people in a way that accelerates their progress towards, you know, whatever the overarching goal is, but for me it's like elevating collective consciousness really waking up to a lot of these things that are. Emmeraging our creativity and our energy and our spirit and. Subsequently, our financial positions and there's a lot of tidal waves going on nowadays. And I just figured, why not? Let's see. It was more of a self introspective like journal to begin with. And then my take started getting steam and I was like. You know, I had some cycles at work and I was like, maybe I'll just throw out some threads. Things just started happening. And I was actually like, I do really enjoy this. It's a very cool medium to get your ideas out. I don't have to be, you know, yapping my face off in front of a camera trying to click bait people. And you know, you have to read my shit and you like it and or you don't and you scroll past and that's the game, but you don't have to play these flashy. Games like on TikTok or something. It's like, you've got to have the music and I've got to have the captions and I've got to have the sound effects and the video effects and all the stuff and it's like, I just want to be able to put my message out quickly. Streamlined. Boom. And so that was

the birth of.
