The Danish Etiquette Around Birthday Cakes

In denmark, when it's your birthday and you go to the office, you provide the birthday cake for everybody. Whereas as far as i'm aware, in every other country in the world, everyone else bis your birthday day like. Do youhave any idea why? Why tat ene, that's played out this way? I think you know. My interpretation of it is that if you give a cake to everybody else, you have given them something, and then they don't need to necessarily reciprocate that. So basically, you give it to the individual to say, well, do you want to celebrate your birthday or not? Because we don't want to enforce a celebration
