Paul also speaks in Colossians of Jesus the warrior. Now mind you, every single king in Israel was a warrior. That's part of what it meant to be king. You did battle with the enemies of Israel. From the beginning, he's opposed by forces both visible and invisible. He went mano-amano right? Hand-to-hand combat.
