The Importance of Naval Capacity in the Indo-Pacific

I am disappointed that our Navy still does not get the kind of attention, importance and priority that it should. If we wish to counter China, our naval capability needs to be of the same order. Yes, we cannot turn out warships the way China is. It has produced more frigates, comets than the whole of the Asian region put together in the last couple of decades. We can't compete with that. But where we can't compete in the size of the fleet, we can most certainly compete in terms of the ability of the fleet. Even there, a lot more needs to be done.
