Is There Affective Sexism in Anne?
By the twentieth century perceptions of anne became very negative. This was expressed in books about her, popular novels and even television and film. So its interesting that how she went through this nater of being so negative. But by the two thousands or so, she became very popular. She became a feminist icon, the eighth girl. And if you read susan borde's book, i mean, this expresses it very nicely how her progression to a heroine has happened in the last ten years. That's just crazy. I mean, that's just totally writing all sorts of tropes on to it that has nothing to do with sixteenth century realities.
