Is China Going to Join Some Sovereign Debt Roundtable?
Ghana default is a great example of little things happening in 2022 that's going to possibly snowball later on. There is this already this thing about an African risk premium, which is that Africans unfairly pay more to borrow money than other developing regions. And it seems today that that is not going to get any better now with these defaults. Going into next year, I think it's about 20 or 19 economists on the continent that are at or close to death distress. But what creditors isn't really working? It means largely China, right?, he asks.
