Gloria Borger grew up in a church that was actually healthy compared to many people's experiences. She says the culture of evangelicalism back then had an answer for every question. And so it wasn't that you couldn't talk about suffering or grief and you couldn't be honest about your pain, but ther's just something just by virtue of being evangelically taught is it?
