How to Conduct an Interview
I really focus on preparation in terms of figuring out exactly what question you want to ask and then making that an open ended question. Oprah interviewed Lance Armstrong when he was coming clean as it were about his doping over the course of his career. I thought that was incredibly powerful and a good use of a closed question. Most of the time, closed questions can be really leading or they only provide two options. Maybe the most true answer that an athlete would give is a third or fourth option.
