John dixon is the founding director of the centre for public christianity in australia, and he's published over 20 books. He argues that if we look at the unsavoury and kind of nasty parts of christian history, it actually allows us to see more clearly that part of the church's history which do conform to the teachings of jesus. John says prayer isn't about what we get from god, but it's about getting god himself. His latest book is called bullies and saints, an honest look at the good and evil ofchristian history.
