The Failure of Poetry

At the dawn of the 20th century, there were at least half a dozen experimental globally renowned movements in poetry that were competing for attention on the world stage. And yet we are at a moment in human history when the future, despite all our pessimism about it, couldn't be brighter like we have an immense amount of potential to exploit here. There's an enormous, you know, a future ahead of us of greatness and prosperity and and wonderment, none of which seems to be seen yet by the poets,. right?
