Are Desires and Elements the Same as Entitlements?

i feel like i've had more professional disappointments than i have successes. Sometimes the thing that you learn is not what you thought you learned at first. You really do find that your heart goes where your desires go. And desires are not the same things as entitlements. I was also so embarrassed about this afterward,. i couldn't bring myself to talk about it or ask even, later, what happened?
