Some people dismiss the idea that you can ever have things smarter than humans simply for mystical reasons because they think there's something more than quarks and electrons going on in us. An AGI will achieve AGI status when we have a system that can generate explanations, he says. When it can do that an AGI would be doing generating better ideas faster than what we're able to do right now but also one of the better ideas Presumably what help us do is figure out how to have implants in our own brains so that we could think just as fast as it can and have memory just as good as it can why is this off the table it's always ruled out now I think
