The Inciduous Arts of Government Respecting America
A member of the British House of Commons for Hull wrote a letter to his constituents. He said he thought that the foundation and prosecutions of the war against America had been unjust. In another place he says, I am confident that there is not a man with a British heart who will not say that in the same circumstances he would have acted as the Americans have done. One can be more full to the point than this acknowledgement from a gentleman of such distinguished character.
