The Importance of a Second Eye on Everything
The fact checker is someone who whose only role is to make sure that the reporting stands up. So they can come at it with not only a fresh set of eyes, but also a pure set of principles. And so some of its human error, some of it is perhaps conscious oversight,. Some of it is subconscious submission. But yeah, you know, all of that takes a great deal of time, effort and money.
