Inflation in the UK, the headline rate is still standing at 7.9% in the latest reading from June. That's a lot, but it's way above the Bank of England's 2% target. The pound is still hovering around $1.27. Bond yields haven't really gone anywhere because the market thought maybe they will do half a percentage point this week and they've ended up going for less than that.
