The Fed's Macro Outlook for 2023
The Fed is meeting again this week. It will probably raise interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point And I think the big question everyone has, Is this going to be the last rate hike of this cycle? What do you think I? Actually don't think so. You know I looked at inflation the PCE the personal consumer Index there it was still up three eight year over year was up for tents in May The trailing 12 months on the CPI is down to 3% and the run rate for the last four months is 2.4%. Annualized now we're getting close to the 2 per cent target. So I wouldn't be surprised if Ed goes up another 50 basis points.
