The Second Amendment in the United States
The point of the Second Amendment in the United States was to avoid a professional army. The idea is like, let's make sure the people have guns and that will resemble Rome. And if you once you have a professional army, that means the citizens are excluded. It's just the tool of domination. But also keep the second amendment, which allows you, if you cannot, um, menace and harm foreigners with your personally held firearms, you can at least menace and harm each other.
