Is the NHS Going to Survive?
It's just impossible for the hospital to operate in isolation. A couple of senior managers said they were thinking of buying their own care home or buying up places in a care home so that they had some more sense of control. We have to think about preventing sickness as well as dealing with sickness. The hospitals are never going to survive unless we look at that whole thing all the way through from prevention and then also, of course, social care.
