Arthur Jones was very big on not developing skill set so a lot of that early machine like running the line was sort of meant to not get you good at it and just get the palm or whatever. So they were using the tissue but they were challenging it in a different way. I didn't go in and do the same bench press every day. It wasn't just a matter of the change in intensity, right or or the volume of itIt was actually changing the pattern in a way similar to like hitting a rock with a hammer would just it's not the same hit every time. And it allows it allowing for the crewman of more volume or repetition which actually gets the tissue better at
