The Paradox of Nirvana
Buddhism's central thought is that all compounded and conditioned things are impermanent, are suffering, are non-self. So how could Nirvana be a result? This is the conundrum. The way to resolve the conundrum is to realize that you're running on this fuel of craving attachment, the taints. And when the fuel goes out, there's no more craving. That's just is Nirvana. It's the extinguishing of the fuel for rebirth. Classically, if we leave your birth out, it just means Nirvana in this life is the fuel is gone. And that is peace.
