Social scientists are keen on loneliness because we've forgotten how to be by ourselves. We always have a cell phone in our pocket and any chance any opportunity any time when we are by ourselves we reach for that phone turn it on and search for others. The problem is, is that when the opportunities to cultivate self awareness at the level of knowledge know thyself we're back in the field of knowledge don't forget.
