I Was Abducted by a Stranger in a Rural Illinois Town

When he was about 6 years old in kindergarten or first grade, we lived across the street from my school. I went to the school until my second grade year when the school was shut down by the district. Most kids were shipped off to whatever school happened to be closest to them. The abandoned property became a community center of sorts for the town of less than 200 or so people. Today the town is even more dried up than it was during my kindergarten years.
