The Apollinian Is the Surviving Art Force, the One That We Understand the Most
Nietzsche first visits aesthetics and he does the same thing here. He points out how there is an element of the arts which has been ignored by modern aesthetics. Now that he's shown that we're living in this Alexandrian socratic age, well, maybe not shown, he's certainly asserted it. It would explain why our entire society is organized around these principles of reason and knowledge and utility ultimately tending toward utility.
