Reverend Densham preached to an empty church for 20 years. He made cardboard cutouts of the congregation and kept a meticulous log. The secretary of the church council tried to stop him from improving the church, Reverend Densham threatened to kill him. But he was eventually exonerated by ecclesiastical law.
