I think it comes from this idea that if only we keep pointing to the injustices, then perhaps finally we'll be able to fight against them and get rid of them. The first is that we need to know whether or not things are improving to have the sense of what to do next. And when the other point is a question about, you know, how do we stop people from winning? How do we stop somee like trump from coming back in 20 24? I think there's a lot of normal people who are not bigots, who are not racists, who have concerns about  culture change,. Who want somebody to tell them that things are going to be all right
