The Many Worlds Interpretation

Many media outlets and accredited journals are prophesying for most major coastal cities to be underwater by 2060. Is this the same blind pessimism as peak oil forecasts in the 90s and the Malthusian trap in the 18th century? Yes, absolutely. Any prediction of that kind is actually a prophecy. We cannot know what things will be like here on planet Earth in 2060. If we can cause the problem, we can undo the problem. There's nothing inherent in melting polar ice caps which means that we cannot undone the problem. In principle, we know ways to cool the globe in theory in principle. Just big enough mirrors in the sky and it will shine the stuff back
