The Democratic Party's Pushback on Race in Texas

Texas is a majority minority state. We have more African Americans in this state of Texas than any other state, he says. But it's very difficult for us to run our races versus on the Republican side and on the state level when you're talking about governor or things like that. And so what they like to project is that, hey, we are conservative, conservative. We are far right. We are extreme. We are red. The reality is that they are not because if they were, then they wouldn't be so stressed about voter suppression.
