Do You Know That a Galloping Horse Has Hooves?
Eddie was employed by Governor Leland Stanford of California who was a zealous racehorse breeder. He wanted to prove that at some point a galloping horse has all four hooves hooves if you're from Pittsburgh off the ground at one time. In 1877 he set up 12 separate cameras along a Sacramento race course with wires connecting all of them had a horse run down the track and they took pictures on their rotating magic disc. And whenever they turned them at just the right rate, you could see the horse galloping and indeed the horses feet are off the ground all at once.
