The Importance of Timidity in Church Leadership

I think a response would have been very welcome, don't you? Well, it's like the old joke about, you know, what do you think of Western civilization? Or I think that would be a lovely idea, but I'm bummed. It seems to me, at least in my lifetime, there is a tremendous desire by church leadership to be liked and approved of. And if you begin to hesitate and say, you know what, this doesn't look sound, feel, or smell like a new springtime at all, then you're ... maybe this is just my rheumatism flaring up.
