The habitable zone is just warm enough to keep water in liquid state and then the rest of the planet is frozen. This pushes it in between a hot and a cold zone, you know, again, sort of this sort of equatorial Terminator zone. Plants kind of locked to the star at that distance though. I thought they always had to be close to the star. It's still close because M-dwarves are,. they're red, they're red dwarves. And so you have to be relatively close. In order to be close enough that water could be liquid, you probably will be tidally locked.
