How Do You Know if You've Been Diagnosed With Mental Health?

I'm curious because you've touched on it a little bit being a first generation college student not talking about mental health and of course the mental health conversations that we have with being open about them definitely crosses over into so many different cultures. I would really love it if you could touch a little bit on some of the things that culturally stood in your way before you were diagnosed to get you to that answer. My parents migrated here when I was pretty young and I arrived to the United States when I was eight years old, and they had a very challenging experience as most immigrants  to navigate the system there.
