GPT: I do not think Neiman would allow 30% or 40% of their articles to be written by chat GPT. And that is kind of shocking to me actually. We see this time and again with the tech industry, what always comes to mind to me is in the mid 2010s, when there was all this discussion about how automation was going to replace all of these jobs. It's moving into other spaces like writing, like art, and to say, you know, don't push back too hard or else we supposedly can replace you with these things, even though they won't be nearly as good.

Paris Marx is joined by Molly Crabapple to discuss why AI image generation tools are a threat to illustrators and why we need to refuse the idea that Silicon Valley’s visions of technology are inevitable.
