John: I think one takeaway was just this you know sort of being presented again kind of hit over the head with the fact that white supremacy is a feature of the national story it's not a bug. He says there are lots of things in our culture when you're white that are reassuring us over and over again that the country is basically noble. John: The history puts into stark relief how truly wrong-headed it is that we have so much.
When it comes to U.S. government programs and support earmarked for the benefit of particular racial groups, history is clear. White folks have received most of the goodies.
