Ghosts of Tsushima - The Sound of Multifonic Throat Singing

The sound of multifonic throat singing, also known as Mongolian or Tuvann throat singing, has its roots in the Asian region of Tuvann. The way it works is you hold a fundamental pitch, usually very low, and then you reshape the resonant chamber in your mouth to manipulate the upper harmonics that you're holding. In Ghosts of Tsushima, those are literally invading Mongolians. They used a recording of a guy singing in that style. It's truly multifonic, which is really cool and gives it that unusual otherworldly sound.
