As much as nine times as many boys as girls are diagnosed with ADHD. Why? Girls tend to internalise their symptoms and hide them from the world. Boys tend to actually get noticed, so there's an immediate bias in diagnosis. But diagnostic tests were developed in boys - our symptoms can be different.
