The English Major Has Tumbled

In 19 70, about one in 12 or 13 four year degrees of any kind in this country were in english. In 20 19, it's now below one in 50. Have we seen the same tumble in history? You know, i'm afraid i'm a little local in knowledge on that. We've been stableim, at chicago, at least in history. But my, my sense, though, obviously people are still doing, we know, fields that are not science fields. And i've just made my pitch for why we need mathematics. I would include probably in the numbers of, like, who goes into all the studies programmes,. Gender studies, frace studies, you
