Marijuana and the Risk of Psychosis

Marijuana use is closely associated with increased risk of depression and bipolar disorder. Those previously diagnosed with cannabis addiction were almost twice as likely to develop clinical depression, according to a Danish study. The increased risk for psychosis is more likely for men than women; the chances go off with one's use.
