What Are Put Options?
There's really two types of options. There's call options and put options. Call options basely means you expect the stock price to go up. Put options are if you expectstock price to go down. So obviously, given the market conditions we've had so far this year, people are more concerned about protecting what they have. The point of a put option is to protect the downside risk that you can't know for sure.
