Steinsgate: A Meta Game of Time Travel
Steinsgate is about a character who uses his cell phone to spoiler alert to time travel. Each time he resets a particular day, a different friend ends up getting killed until finally he finds the right long but I won't get into too many of the details. He has this kind of parallel to our playing of a game that is making the external game experience of playing an avatar of that dies in the game. The character himself continues to live and remembers each different play through each different timeline.
