Macintosh Computer Launched in 1984
The first Macintosh computer was unveiled to a room full of shareholders on January 24, 1984. That price came in at about $2,500 just like we see in the movie simply called Steve Jobs. The estate of George Orwell sent a cease and desist to Apple after the ad was released in April of 1984. Today, Apple fans around the world celebrate January 24 as Macintosh Computer Day.
