In other gospels, jesus is looking forward to the horizon of his mortality. I don't think he was looking at the resurrection and saying, well, it's all going to turn out well. In te et, i think he really accepted the finality of his own death. And that is exactly what spiritual bypassing tries to do - replace gethsemane with easter sunday or something like that.
